Bookmyer Mr. Bookmyer is CEO of Pain Management Group located in Findlay, Ohio, since January 2009 and the former Chief Operating Officer of Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay, Ohio, from August 1995 until December 2008. Mr. Bookmyer is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio and has extensive experience in oversight, leadership and financial matters from his roles at all entities. He is also very familiar with the needs of the region through his interactions with community hospitals and businesses.

Richard J. Schiraldi Mr. Schiraldi is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a partner at Cohen & Company, Certified Public Accountants, Youngstown, Ohio, since 1990. Mr. Schiraldi served as Director of Tax Operations at Cohen from 1983 until 2003. Mr. Schiraldi also serves as Chairman of the Board for Home Savings Bank.

Prior to that, he served as the CFO of Premier Financial Corp. and Premier Bank and the CEO of First Insurance Group. Mr. Hileman has worked in the financial services industry for more than 40 years. Prior to joining Premier Financial Corp. in 2007, he served as a corporate controller with Sky Financial Group, Inc., a $19 billion financial services holding company. He previously served as a community bank Chief Financial Officer, and has held various positions in banking.

Gary M. Small Mr. Small was appointed President of Premier Bank and joined the Premier Financial Corp. Board on January 31, 2020, as part of the UCFC merger. Small was named President and CEO of Home Savings and joined the UCFC Board in March 2014, bringing more than 28 years of industry experience and a successful record of developing businesses, growing revenue and improving organizational performance. Small most recently served as Senior Executive Vice President – Chief Banking Officer for S&T Bank in Indiana, PA, with responsibility for their Wealth Management, Retail Banking and Insurance business groups. Prior to joining S&T, Small served as COO for the Jackson Hewitt Tax Services 1,000 store company owned business unit. Before Jackson Hewitt, Mr. Small served as EVP - Head of Regional Banking for Sky Financial Group and post merger with Huntington Bank, as Huntington Bank’s EVP– Regional Banking Group President. Small also spent 20 years with National City Corporation, and a predecessor, Merchants National Corporation, in a number of senior operating and financial roles.

Martin E. Adams Mr. Adams has over 30 years of small and large bank management experience. Prior to forming his own company Marty Adams Consulting, LLC, where he serves as both an advisor to banks and their boards of directors and to private equity firms pertaining to bank equity investments, Mr. Adams served as interim chief executive officer of PVF Capital Corp. and Park View Federal Savings Bank, Solon, Ohio before joining their boards of directors. He also served as president and chief operating officer of Huntington Bancshares Inc. following Huntington's acquisition of Sky Financial Group, Inc. in July 2007 until December 2007. Under his leadership, Adams built Sky Financial, and its predecessor Citizens Bancshares, Inc., from a small Ohio community bank into an $18 billion diversified financial holding company, with locations throughout the Midwest. Mr. Adams has served on both boards since February 2013.

Zahid Afzal Zahid Afzal served as Chief Operating Officer at Home Savings Bank from March 2018 to January 2020. Prior to joining Home Savings, Afzal served as EVP, Chief Technology and Operations Executive at Capital Bank in Raleigh, N.C. Afzal has also held executive positions with Huntington National Bank and Bank of America. He was appointed to the United Community Financial Corp (UCFC) Board of Directors in 2013 and joined the FDEF board in 2020. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Bancsource in Springfield, MO. In the past, he has served as Board Member of Bowling Green State University College of Business, the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) and Groundwork Group. He is a Graduate of The Ohio State University Fisher Business College Executive Leadership Program, Columbus, OH and Duke University Fuqua Business College Executive Leadership Program, Durham, NC. Afzal earned a Bachelor-of-Science degree and completed post-graduate coursework in Management Information Systems at Strayer University, Washington D.C.

Altman Mr. Altman is a co-managing partner of the Altman Company, a full service real estate development firm for commercial, multi-family, office, medical and hotel properties located in multiple states. Mr. Altman has over 25 years of experience in managing, developing and financing commercial real estate ventures. Mr. Altman is the past Chairman of the Board at Premier Bank and Trust before Premier’s sale to Home Savings Bank. Prior to Mr. Altman’s involvement with Premier Bank, he served on the Sky Bank Board as a Regional Director in the Western Reserve Region as well as a Director on the Sky Bank Board of Directors. Mr. Altman graduated from The Ohio State University School of Business.

Terri A. Bettinger Ms. Bettinger served as Chief Information Officer of Franklin County Data Center in Columbus, Ohio from February 2015 to October 2017. Prior to that time, Ms. Bettinger led North America Fund Services Technology for the Global Financial Services Group at Citigroup Inc. from April 2009 to February 2015. Ms. Bettinger spent 20 years in the banking and financial services industry, and her successful career in the delivery of valuable technology solutions provides beneficial knowledge to the Board in the area of technological growth and innovation.

Lee J. Burdman Mr. Burdman is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Redstone Investments. Redstone is a development, management and acquisitions company focusing on shopping center development headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio. Mr. Burdman has been involved in the real estate business for more than 25 years, and he serves on the Boards of Directors of Simco Management Corp. and Cardinal Commerce Corporation. His extensive experience started with Burdman Brothers Companies (a family-held real estate development firm based out of Youngstown, Ohio). Mr. Burdman also serves as a Director of Home Savings Bank.

She is currently Business Manager and Corporate Treasurer for The Hubbard Company in Defiance, Ohio, and has more than 30 years of experience in banking. She is a member of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Succession Planning Committee.

Prior to his promotion to President of Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, Mr. Robison served in various positions at Brotherhood Mutual since 1994, including as Assistant Vice President of Finance. As a successful leader of a national company, Mr. Robison adds valuable leadership experience to the Board.

Strausbaugh Mr. Strausbaugh is President and CEO of Vrsus Assets, LLC, a digital case management platform firm for plaintiff attorneys, since June 2018; President, CEO and CFO of JB & Company, Inc., a roofing company, from 2011 to 2017; Former Co-President of Defiance Metal Products in Defiance, Ohio, from September 2006 to November 2011; and CFO of Defiance Metal Products from November 1998 to July 2006. Mr. Strausbaugh has important tactical and strategic skills that he has developed in management and executive positions with his prior employers. His experience with a growing company helps to inform the Board of Directors when considering future business opportunities.

Mr. Nungester served as Senior Vice President and Controller at Welltower Inc., a real estate investment trust, where he served in various roles from 2001 until 2018 before joining Premier Bank. He is a graduate of John Carroll University and earned his MBA at The University of Toledo. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant and graduate of Deloitte’s Next Generation CFO Academy.

Jude J. Nohra Executive Vice President, Chief General Counsel, Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Secretary since January 2020 as part of the UCFC merger. Mr. Nohra was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer and Secretary of Home Savings and was General Counsel and Secretary of Home Savings from June 2004 through January 2020. Prior to that, he served as an associate attorney for Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, L.L.P. (now known as Squire Patton Boggs) for approximately five years. Prior to joining Squire, Sanders and Dempsey, he served for two years as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Nohra is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Law, and he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Youngstown State University. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and is a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive).

Ms. Davis was Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director at First Community Bank from October 2007 to November 2015 before joining Premier Financial Corp. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant Vice President, Senior Human Resources Business Partner for BBVA Compass. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Business and her Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Alabama. Ms. Davis also has her SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications.

Matthew T. Garrity Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Head of Residential Lending since January 2020 as part of the UCFC merger. Mr. Garrity was Executive Vice President with responsibility for Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending and Credit Administration of Home Savings from 2013 through January 2020. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, for Home Savings when he joined the company in 2009. Before joining Home Savings, Garrity served as Senior Vice President at National City from 2005 – 2007 managing Capital Markets Investment Banking, serving as Deputy Chief Credit Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager in the Cleveland, Ohio market.

Before joining JPMC in 2012, Doug served as EVP, Chief Information Officer and interim Chief Information Security Officer at First Place Bank in Warren, Ohio and SVP, Senior IT Director for Key Corp. Doug has also held leadership roles at National City Corporation, Management Recruiters International, Avery-Dennison, Sprint, Cleveland Pneumatic Landing Gear, and General Electric.
